• In early 2015, she almost gave up her acting dreams for cinematography, as she was jobless for last 3 years. But, in April 2015, she auditioned for Dangal, and after 6 rounds she got selected.

• In Dangal, she played the role of Geeta Phogat who was the first female wrestler to win a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. 

• During the shoot of Dangal, she was rehearsing a wrestling scene with the team and misjudged the timing, and as a result, she fractured her ankle.

• During her rigorous training for Dangal, she used to wrestle for 3 hours, have lunch, sleep, gym, learn Haryanvi, and then sleep.

• She started acting as a child artist by playing the role of Tabu and Kamal Hassan’s daughter in the film Chachi 420.
