Before becoming an actor, Vineet Raina used to work in Maruti Udyog in his native place Kashmir. He got tired of the regular job and shifted to Mumbai to work in IT industry as he has a degree in Computer Applications.

Vineet Raina started his acting career with a small role in ‘Sati…Satya Ki Shakti’ in 2006 and also a film called ‘Janni’ in the same year, but became popular with his serial ‘Maryada’ in 2007.

He also did a reality game show as a host named ‘Cinema Khel Khel Mein’ in 2011.

Before getting married to actress Tanushree Kaushal, both were in a 3-year relationship. However, the marriage broke off in only two years. They also participated in ‘Nach Baliye’ as a couple after getting married.
